Control Spam using the Spam Filter on cPanel

If your email account receives a lot of spam, you can configure your account to manage it.

First, log in to your Email Configuration.

Now, click on the Spam Filters optio.n

When an email arrives in your inbox, the server will allocate it a Spam Score. The score is based on several security and sender checks.

The score is between 0 and 10. The higher the score, the more likely the email is spam.

You can set your email account to automatically delete spam emails if it goes over a set score limit.

On the Spam Filters screen, we recommend you set the Custom Threshold to 7.

If you find you are still receiving a lot of spam emails, then reduce the spam score further.
We don't recommend setting the score below 5.

If you'd like more control over your email, you can also use Email Filters to process emails based on rules you create automatically.

You can also upgrade your spam protection to Premium Email Filtering. This includes an automated quarantine system that blocks spam but ensures legitimate emails are delivered.
