If you own multiple domains, you can easily add them to your cPanel hosting account as separate websites (subject to your hosting plan limitations).
Once you've purchased your domain, ensure the nameservers are set to:
ns1.uptimewebhosting.com.au
ns2.uptimewebhosting.com.au
See the following link for instructions on how to check and edit your nameservers:
https://clients.uptimewebhosting.com.au/knowledgebase/127/Reset-or-Edit-my-Nameservers.html
Now follow these steps:
- Login to cPanel
- Go to Domains and click on Domains:
- Click on the Create A New Domain button at the top right:
- In the Domain textbox, enter the new domain name you want to add to your account.
Because you want this to be a separate website from your primary domain, untick Share document root. Leave the Document Root as the default. cPanel will create your new website in this folder. Note this if you need to upload files to your new site.
Leave the Subdomain box setting as the default. - Now click the Submit button to add your domain.
- After a few moments, you will see a confirmation message:
Your new domain has been added to your account.
A new SSL certificate will be installed the next time the server processes AutoSSL, or you can request it immediately using the SSL/TLS status icon in cPanel.
