Your ASP.NET hosting plan can be configured to your needs and upgraded or downgraded at any time.
You can change the performance of your plan (CPU) and also the resources allocated to your plan (Disk Space, Databases etc.)
Change Performance
Your plan can run on 1 to 8 virtual CPUs. The more CPU power the faster your website and processing power. You can tell how many CPU's your plan has by its name. For example, the pl-1c-syd plan is Plesk (pl), 1 CPU (1c) and is located in Sydney (syd).
You can change the number of CPU's by using the Upgrade/Downgrade feature in the Client Area.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the Client Area
- Click on the Services box:
- Click on the Arrow button next the service you want to upgrade/downgrade:
- In the Actions box, click on Upgrade/Downgrade:
- You will now see your current plan and a list of Performance options with the Upgrade cost or Credit amount:
- Click on Choose Product for the option you want to switch to.
- You will then see a confirmation page and option to pay for your upgrade if required:
- Click on the Continue button to complete the plan change.
Please note you cannot change the server location of your plan. If you'd like to host your plan in a different region, please create a support ticket.
Change Resources
You can add or remove the number of domains, amount of disk space, databases and mailboxes on your account anytime.
Warning: If you downgrade your account without removing resources your account will go into over-usage and will be suspended. Ensure you have removed the resources you longer need before downgrading.
To change the resources on your plan, follow these steps:
- Log in to the Client Area
- Click on the Services box:
- Click on the Arrow button next the service you want to upgrade/downgrade:
- In the Actions box, click on Upgrade/Downgrade Options:
- You will then see your current configuration and the option to make changes via the drop-down boxes:
- Once you have made your changes, click on the Continue button to see the confirmation screen:
- Select your payment method (if required) and click on Continue to complete your changes.
