You may have received a notification that one of your databases or a table in your database has become corrupt or damaged.
You'll see a message like this one:
Table './databasename_wp000/wplj_logs' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
You can fix this quickly by logging into cPanel and repairing your database.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to your cPanel account
- Scroll down to the Databases section and click on Manage My Databases
- First, let's check our database. In the Modify Databases section, select your database from the drop-down and click on Check Database
- You will see a list of all of your tables in the database, and each one should be OK at the end. If you see something like the following, then there is a problem:
[wplj_logs] Table is marked as crashed
[wplj_logs] 3 clients are using or haven't closed the table properly
[wplj_logs] Record at pos: 17483108 is not remove-marked
[wplj_logs] record delete-link-chain corrupted
[wplj_logs] Corrupt -
Go back to the Modify Databases section, but this time select your database from the drop-down in the Repair Database section and click on the Repair Database button:
- It may take a few minutes, depending upon the size of your database, but you will eventually see a Repair Complete message:
- Go back and recheck your database to make sure everything has been resolved.
