The Client Security Pin provides an additional level of verification for you and your clients. The client can only see their pin while logged in to the client area. Requesting this PIN over the phone ensures that you are talking to your client and they are logged in to your Client Area.
Set Up
From the PowerTools dashboard click on the Client Security Pin tile:
Ensure the Tool is switched on and click Save:
Options
Side Bar
Enabling the Side Bar option will show the client the Pin on every page of the Client Area in the main side bar.
Client Home
Enabling the Client Home option will show a panel in the Client Area home page.
Recycle
The number of minutes before a PIN is automatically recycled. Setting this value to zero will not recycle the PIN.
Note: PIN numbers are only recycled when the client views a page in their client area and the number of minutes have passed since the last PIN was generated.
Usage
You can view the clients current PIN on the Client Summary page, under Other Actions:
Client PINs are stored as an Admin Only Client Custom Field. You can manually set the PIN to any value by editing the Client Profile:
