Confirming Domain Ownership for Google


When setting up services with Google (such as Google Search Console), you will need to verify your domain.

You will see a screen similar to the following:

Click on the COPY button to copy the TXT record.

Open a new browser tab and log in to your cPanel account. Don't close the Google set-up instructions tab; you'll need to come back to it later.

In cPanel, select the Zone Editor in the Domains section:

Click on the Manage button for your domain:

You will see a list of all your DNS records.
Click on the Down Arrow on the + Add Record button and select Add "TXT" Record:

In the new Add Record box, make sure you type your domain name correctly in the first box and then paste the Google code you copied before into the last box:

Then click on the Save Record button.

Wait for a couple of minutes to allow the DNS servers to update, and then switch back to the browser tab with the Google set-up instructions.

Click on the Verify button, and you will should see this response from Google:
