We are excited to announce a significant update regarding our server security solutions for shared cPanel hosting clients at UpTime.
After thorough testing and evaluation, we have decided to switch to cpGuard as our new security software, replacing Imunify360.
While Imunify360 has served us well, we identified opportunities to enhance our services. Specifically, we found that full server scans with Imunify360 were time-consuming and did not provide the detailed insights our clients needed to monitor attacks on their domains effectively.
In our tests with cpGuard, we detected a higher number of genuine malware files compared to previous scans with Imunify360. Since adopting cpGuard, we have observed a notable decrease in server load, with some servers experiencing massive performance improvements. Our performance monitoring reports also indicate enhanced stability across our server network.
The transition to cpGuard will take place gradually to ensure a smooth changeover.
The Imunify360 interface in cPanel will be replaced with the new cpGuard icon. Clicking on this icon will give you extensive information on any security issues with your account, including reports on how your site has been protected.
We are currently writing new knowledge base articles to guide you on using the new cpGuard system in your account. These will be published shortly.
We are committed to providing you with the best service possible and firmly believe that cpGuard will deliver superior security and performance.
If you have the Imunify360 plugin installed in WordPress, it is recommended that you now remove it.
Please note that 360 Monitoring agents may have been blocked during the migration to cPGuard. Sites were online even though 360 Monitoring was reporting otherwise. This issue has now been resolved.
