How To Cancel A Domain Renewal

If you no longer need a domain name, you can request that it not be renewed.

Note: If you need to cancel a domain name immediately, please create a support ticket.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your UpTime Client Area
  2. From the main page, click on the Domains box:
  3. Click on the domain you would like to cancel the renewal:
  4. In the Manage section, select Auto Renew:
  5. If Auto Renew is enabled, you will see the below option. Click on the Disable Auto Renew button.
  6. Ensure the Auto Renewal Status is set to Disabled

When a domain has Auto Renewal set to Disabled, we won't issue an invoice automatically to renew it.
You can still manually renew a domain while it's registered and in the 'allowed to renewed' time cycle.

If we have already issued you a renewal invoice please create a support ticket so we can cancel it for you.

Note: We are still required to notify you by email that your domain is due for expiry. This is a condition imposed on us by the domain registrar. Please ignore any future renewal notices that you may receive.
