Email is backup regularly for you on all of our cPanel plans. If you'd like an offline copy you can create an archive using your email client. For example: Archiving with Thunderbird
We also provide the option for you to download your email accounts in the format the are stored on the server.
Please note, this type of backup can not be imported into mail programs or other mail servers without admin/root access to the server. Please use your email client to create an offline backup.
To create a back up of your email for offline storage follow these steps:
- Log in cPanel
How to Login to cPanel - Scroll down to the Files section and click on JetBackup 5
- Click on the Email Accounts button
- Select the Email Account(s) you would like to download by clicking on it's row (it will highlight dark orange when selected):
- Click on the Download button to download your backup.
- Review the download summary and then click on the Download Selected Items button
- Your backup will be now be added to the queue and retrieved from off site storage.
Wait until the queue shows that is is completed: - Now click on the Downloads icon in the JetBackup toolbar:
- Click the Download button to download the backup to your local backup to your computer:
